Stepper Motors from the printers at the ACCRC?

I was so stoked when I read about the ACCRC - it's very close to where I live & seemed like a dream come true - a local supply of stepper motors from old printers (which I use for animating & controlling things in performances). When I stopped by a couple of weeks ago, I was elated to see the mountain of old printers. But the guy who was working there told me they couldn't be purchased/obtained. Please please please, does anyone know if there any way I could buy a handful of them?

Thank you so much

Pulse Jet

I purchased a 4'x8' of hot rolled 16 guage mild steel for pulse jet prototyping. Our cutting torch has a 00 tip and is perfect for cutting parts out of this.
